Public bug reported:

I am using ubuntu dapper and trying to install mplayer. Mplayer
has a dependency on a library: libggi2. This further depends on libgii0.
While libgii0 depends on libgii0-target-x.
So graphically its like this:
libggi2 ==> libgii0 ==> libgii0-target-x.
But as can be seen on this link: http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/libs/libgii0
library libgii0-target-x again depends on libgii0.
This is some kind of cyclic dependency. Is there a work-around to this ?

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
