Public bug reported: Today a user was using a Universal-USB-Installer-1.9.8.8 that they downloaded today from Pendrivelinux.com to install Ubuntu 16.04.6-desktop-i386.iso . Probably downloaded Ubuntu on 3/9/2019 from the Ubuntu UK site?
The install on the USB was not completely done. They used a 16 gig USB formatted NTFS to get a larger storage area. (Later I tried the USB install with an older: Universal-USB-Installer-1.9.6.2 from Nov 2015 and the install went perfectly.) When booting their computer to the USB they got an error message: Cannot connect to http://grub4dos.chenall.net The install stopped, thanks That is to a Chinese server: Domain Name: CHENALL.NET Registry Domain ID: 1591363892_DOMAIN_NET-VRSN Registrar WHOIS Server: grs-whois.hichina.com Registrar URL: http://www.net.cn Updated Date: 2018-03-12T02:47:21Z Creation Date: 2010-04-03T16:05:06Z Registry Expiry Date: 2019-04-03T16:05:06Z Registrar: Alibaba Cloud Computing (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
