Just because there's a native linux version doesn't mean that this bug is invalid. Wine still can't run Google Earth for Windows, and this is a real issue because it affects many similar applications. So a better resolution might have been "will not fix" rather than "invalid".
The original poster is probably trying to improve Wine in general, and is interested in these other applications.
