log_daemon_msg() is a function from /lib/lsb/init-functions file, which
apt-proxy init script uses.
There should be :
. /lib/lsb/init-functions
at the somewhere at the beginning of /etc/init.d/apt-proxy file. Is this
still an issue for you?
