I meant only the boot loader part of MBR, since partition table can change and it not wise to change it.
but something which perform the uninstallation need to remove the Linux partitions. ** Description changed: If someone with a little experience with Linux, he may want to uninstall it. he could remove the partitions of Linux and there for the Grub stop to work, and he blame the linux that destroy the windows, and after that. he will format the whole hard disk to bring windows back... (It happen to my friend). There for to prevent that, I suggest that the installation of Linux will - copy and save the MBR of windows, and will added option to remove linux - and restore the original windows MBR. + copy and save the boot loader of windows, and will added option to + remove linux and restore the original windows boot loader. It will make Linux more friendly if It will be easy to remove as to install. -- add uninstall linux option https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164826 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
