Can someone summarize the current state of this? Is there anything affected users can do or provide to help fix this issue?
I'm on a Thinkpad X1 Carbon 6th Gen. (20KGS5DU00) with NFC touchpad. Running Ubuntu 19.04 with 5.0.0-31-generic kernel. fwupdmgr shows no updates currently: System Firmware is 0.1.41. UEFI Device Firmware is 184.65.3590. UEFI Device Firmware is also 0.1.17. I use S3 sleep mode and when the laptop wakes up with a non-functioning touchpad I run the following command (which is mentioned in the entry post) a few times. If the touchpad doesn't come back to life I suspend again and repeat the cycle until it works. echo -n none > /sys/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/drvctl && \ echo -n reconnect > /sys/devices/platform/i8042/serio1/drvctl \ rmmod psmouse && \ modprobe psmouse -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1791427 Title: Touchpad and/or trackpoint stop working after S3 suspend on Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1791427/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
