Hi, are you requesting this change for 19.10 or for 20.04 LTS? For 19.10, it is too late for this change. At a minimum, the Debian package would need to include a LP bug in its changelog for a sync to be acceptable. We are now in Final Freeze and any uploads to seeded packages need to be formatted so that they can be handled as SRUs.
By seeded packages, I mean that the package is included in at least one release image of Ubuntu or an official Ubuntu flavor. (That's a close enough definition for here). If you install ubuntu-dev-tools you can run the seeded-in-ubuntu command. $ seeded-in-ubuntu lightdm-settings lightdm-settings (from lightdm-settings) is seeded in: ubuntu-budgie: daily-live ubuntu-mate: daily-live It might be a good idea to see if the Ubuntu Budgie & MATE teams have an opinion on this update for 19.10 if you think it's needed there. And there isn't anything in this bug report that says why this new update is needed for 19.10.
