Public bug reported:
I just installed Ubuntu 7.10. After login the desktop stops taking any
input (such as mouse clicks or keyboard actions), also the mouse icon
freezes. I can move the mouse, but I cannot do anything with it. Also
buttons don't highlight if I move the mouse over them.
The problem appears just a few seconds after opening any window. No
matter if it is Firefox, Audio setup or the package update window.

This problem is really annoying, since it makes the usage of Ubuntu 7.1
impossible...
