Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22

I've got a Sharp Widenote 4000 with Intel 915 Express video. It worked
famously using Fiesty. I upgraded to Gutsy after it was released. When
using this kernel (-generic or my own compilation, read on about why I
rolled my own), suspending works as expected, but resuming takes a
*long* time. This may or may not be related to
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-
source-2.6.22/+bug/151016 , but better to let someone else figure that
out. Even if the computer is suspended only a few seconds, this problem
still exhibits itself. I am able to significantly reduce the amount of
time to resume by generating input, like tapping the shft key on the
keyboard. Resume can happen as quickly as 10 seconds with this
encouragement. I had found that ATI users were having problems because
the ATI driver didn't support the new kernel scheduler SLUB. I thought
this might be the problem with my situation, so I rolled my own kervel
using SLAB instead. Using the kernel with SLAB gives the same results,
so I am at a loss as to what to try next. I thought I may try
2.6.22-12, since the above referenced bug confirms that they don't have
this problem with that kernel. I'm currently using 2.6.20-16-generic in
the meantime, which suspends well, but is causing other issues (I want
VMware player back!) Thanks for looking at this.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
