The symbol is there in libfontconfig:

However rrdtool picks up incorrect library:
# ldd /usr/bin/rrdtool | grep fontconfig
libfontconfig.so.1 => /opt/ffmpeg/lib/libfontconfig.so.1
(0x00007f8915183000)
