While this is wishlist, as the software doesn't advertise the feature, it is a pretty basic and essential wish.
When I go to school we have a wireless access point that is not linked to a DHCP server, I must connect and request an IP that has been assigned to me. I can do this fine with the traditional ifup/gnome network method. However, when I go home I have WPA and must use network-manager.
