Update: It seems that's an issue with Kwallet. I just reinstalled a new Kubuntu (7.10) from scratch and it's happening again with Kopete. When Kopete loads, the Kwallet authorisation window never appears and Kopete never connects. I have to make it reconnect to get the authorisation window appear. Could it be related with the apps loading order? Kopete loads before Kwallet so it fails.
