Wine corrupted the download manager and when I tried to uninstall wine I
received Permission refused. I therefore removed Ubuntu from my hard
drive. It is a shame that Ubuntu does not have an uninstall utility as
it leaves the disk drive (when it is installed on a second HD) corrupted
to Windows. I had to remove the master HD and make the slave the master
to run the recovery disk.

I liked Ubuntu but it has too many failures and the recovery from them
is too difficult for a beginner to solve. Thanks, but no thanks.
