I’m glad the pip thing works, and if you have no problems that way, no
need to change.
But if you do see any issues, try the snap version of deja-dup, just
because I also fixed a separate issue with duplicity in the snap that
might cause Google Drive users to see an “unknown error” dialog at the
end of a successful backup.
But anyway, if you aren’t broken, don’t fix it. But if you see oddities, try
the snap:
snap install deja-dup --classic
