I have the same issue: Lenovo Thinkpad e590 and full-disk encryption(it asks password during boot). Also, it works on 5.3.0-19 (and previous) and does not work with 5.3.0-22+.
In my case I see this 2 lines in a loop during boot: WARNING: Failed to connect to lvmetad. Falling back to device scanning. Reading all physical volumes. This make take a while...
