lndir's two-argument form is unusual in that if a relative path is
specified, it is relative *to the dest dir*, not to the current
directory.  This is mentioned in the man page:

>  The fromdir argument may be relative (e.g., ../src) and is relative
to todir (not the current directory).


mkdir -p a/1/2
touch a/1/2/foo
mkdir b

lndir ../a b       # First arg's path is relative to b, not $PWD
lndir "$PWD/a" b   # You can also specify an absolute path
