Public bug reported: I would like for 1.1-1 to be available on Ubuntu 18.04 so that I can use dh-virtualenv without needing to pin pip to 9.0.1 in dh-virtualenv.
>From a question I raised (https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /dh-virtualenv/+question/686616): "... I have run into an issue where I am building a debian using dh- virtualenv on Ubuntu 18.04. If I try to use a version of pip later than 9.0.1, the executable python files created by this debian have defects. I want to be able to use the latest version of pip to install the packages for my debian. This Github issue goes into more detail on the exact problem: https://github.com/spotify/dh-virtualenv/issues/225 The latest version of dh-virtualenv (1.1-1) reportedly resolves this issue, however it is not available for Ubuntu 18.04. ..." ** Affects: dh-virtualenv (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1855154 Title: 1.1-1 not available on bionic (18.04) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dh-virtualenv/+bug/1855154/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
