Now, in Linux Mint MATE 19.3 :
- If I choose "English" at the boot screen on the ISO, and "French" as the 
locale once the installer loads, I get the "French" keyboard as the default 
choice.
- If I choose "French" at the boot screen on the ISO and "Français" as the 
locale once the installer loads, I get the "Francais (variante obsolète)" 
keyboard as the default choice.

None of these 2 keyboard are good. In both case, I should get the
"Francais (azerty)" keyboard as the default choice because it's the most
common keyboard in France.
