Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: eog
take any image file, e.g. of type image/jpeg, name it 'image.gif' or
'image.tif' -- eog will assume that image type is gif or tiff.
then it will complain, that image is not gif/tiff.
but correct behavior is possible: name file 'image' and open it -- eog
will determine correct image type.
