** Description changed:
- I'm using Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS with kernel 5.4.0-050400rc8-generic 64 bit.
- I don't use network-manager-gnome but wicd, so I've not updated gnome-
- control-center, which depends on network-manager-gnome. My gnome-shell
- version is 3.28.4-0ubuntu18.04.2.
+ Reinstalling gnome-control-center and disabling network-manager seems to have
fixed it. Sorry!

The messages happen when I move my mouse to the dock, which I auto-hide.
Recently I've noticed there's a delay to un-hide, presumably because of the
stack trace.
