No, what i said / stated above was but unfortunately an incident.
In Ubuntu 7.04 Open Office prints not from top of page, prints so page fall off from page, the height does not seem to fit, never had this with any openoffice in the past nor with any linux distro for free in the past, nor with OO in any linux distro in the past... Samsung ML1610 prints well from all other programs. But in OO it somehow "wastes" the top of the paper as can be seen in 'print preview' and makes a "lower" lay out, so that the whole page is pushed off the page (that is: pushed off the paper), so the lines do not fit though either are they printed on some next page, they are just printed in the air..., leave the paper... Lucky when a letter fits the page. The former message of me, wherein i was so happy OO was printing fine and same as 'print preview' showed, was an incident -so it turned to be an incident- and i suppose now that there was no computer logic involved in that incident or it must be that OO prints same as 'print preview' shows at a very slow random and maybe only that one time when i was convinced i reported the bug for nothing. But now i know: it is some bug... So i see that definitely there must be some huge bug. If i would not have been familiar with other Linux distributions before and if i would not have bee familiar with OO (and before Staroffice) i would not really trust Ubuntu (for it then would have been my first meeting with linux). I mean: i know Linux can do better with OO than this printing craze. So i hope Ubuntu 7.04 can send some automatic updates to fix this bug (and not create new bugs). -- OOo 2.0.4 Ubuntu 64 Incorrect Print Alignment https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/91291 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
