Hi guys, I also suffer from this problem on my X1 6th gen on Ubuntu as well as Fedora.
Looks like there was a change made in Kernel 5.5 addressing the issue (see the last sentence in the commit message, "With this change I can read out the touchpad data correctly on my Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th Gen laptop"): https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/a284e11c371e446371675668d8c8120a27227339#diff-02afb07ddbb5e9cae9b7709130f6ec26 Generally speaking, there are a lot of changes in the rmi4 driver since April 2019 or Kernel 5.1 (see https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commits/master/drivers/input/rmi4). Unfortunately I'm still having this problem on Kernel 5.3 so I was hoping 5.4 would improve the situation. I guess we'll have to try 5.5 then! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1791427 Title: Touchpad and/or trackpoint stop working after S3 suspend on Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1791427/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
