Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22
After my laptop (Compaq Presario v6000z) runs for an extended time (several hours), its cdrom driver fails to respond - that is, if an application attempts to use it, it becomes stuck in the unkillable D state. Rebuilding the kernel with all non-libata drivers disabled is a workaround which enables the cdrom to be usable. ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- After running for some time, the cdrom driver becomes unresponsive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/172525 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
