As I have previously reported via ubuntu-bug, but without the addition of regression-update, this 'fix' for kernel drivers had stopped my BT in its tracks. Restored a previous disk image free of updated kernel drivers. I have now found how to avoid this install with a reliable check box in Gnome Package Updater, v 3.28.0-2. Using Ubuntu 18.04 on a Toshiba P770 Yet to be tried on a Toshiba L755.
