Also having this same error when trying to mount a share with a comma in
it.

sudo mount.cifs '//server/share/folder name-here/subfolder name/LNAME,
FNAME (XX)' /cifs/share -o cred=/etc/cifs-
creds,vers=3.0,uid=1000,gid=1000,dir_mode=0755,file_mode=0755

mount error(22): Invalid argument
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs) and kernel log 
messages (dmesg)

dmesg:

CIFS: Attempting to mount //server/share/folder name-here/subfolder name/LNAME, 
FNAME (XX)
CIFS: Unknown mount option " FNAME (XX)"
