Hi Lee! Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
Please answer these questions: * Is this reproducible? * If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug? >From the logs provided: > Preparing to unpack .../mariadb-common_1%3a10.3.21-2_all.deb ... > Unpacking mariadb-common (1:10.3.21-2) ... > Setting up mysql-server-8.0 (8.0.18-0ubuntu5) ... > Failed to stop mysql.service: Unit mysql.service not loaded. > invoke-rc.d: initscript mysql, action "stop" failed. It is possible that you are trying to install both mariadb-server-10.3 and mysql-server-8.0 on the same OS? Also, you seem to have some very old repositories configuration on your setup, is it normal? > InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Release amd64 Regards, Faustin ** Changed in: mariadb-10.3 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1860948 Title: package mariadb-common 1:10.3.21-2 failed to install/upgrade: installed mariadb-common package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mariadb-10.3/+bug/1860948/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
