well, i am sorry there are no more error messages as this one. i attached a photo so that you can see it.
the screen looks like the following * Setting preliminary keymap... [ OK ] * Preparing restricted drivers... [ OK ] * Starting basic networking... [ OK ] *Starting kernel event manager... [ OK ] * Loading hardware drivers... error reciving uevent message: No buffer space avialable The notebook just displays this and hung up until i turn it off. (CD and harddrive spins down after some mins) i am pretty shure the problem is the pcmcia , since knoppix also hung on loading pcmcia drivers, but somehow the nopcmcia option works in knoppix. Note : Isn't it possible to change the commands more user friendly ? The commands to enter in ubuntu are very difficluld since not all users (as me) have a U.S. keybord layout. With a german keyboardit is diffiluld to enter chars like = or / . Commands should be only commands without any special chars inside them. ** Attachment added: "DSC00136.JPG" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10637228/DSC00136.JPG -- live cd gusty hang in Loading Hardware Drivers https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/164652 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
