With the current Hardy alpha 1 desktops I only get 800x600, although
vmware is configured for 1024x768. Xorg log says
(II) VESA(0): Not using built-in mode "1024x768" (hsync out of range)
and there's no xorg.conf.
But even when giving large refresh rates in a custom xorg.conf (dpkg-
reconfigure doesn't work, BTW, I created it manually), it doesn't help.
This has worked fine so far until gutsy.
