Public bug reported:
On gutsy amd64, OpenOffice.org's widgets flicker after receiving input
(e.g.: writing in a text field) or when the mouse pointer hovers over
them (e.g.: hovering over the arrow on the font selection combo box),
and some buttons remain highlighted (or at least the colored border that
is drawn when they're highlighted remains) after the mouse pointer
leaves them[1].
