Hey Kai-Heng, sorry for the late answer, I didn't have time to look into this issue recently.
So I formatted the drive on this device and installed 20.04 dev to see if things improved... they did not. I'm now using kernel 5.4.0-9-generic. The problem still happens, even when I don't suspend the device. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start the device and login 2. Launch Firefox, go to Youtube and put any video in fullscreen, pause mode (so that any touch event will start/pause the video) 3. Wait After a delay (from 2 to 15 minutes), the device starts exhibiting the issue described in the bug. I then have to close the lid to suspend the device, wait a few seconds and reopen the lid. I don't see anything weird in dmesg (attached, saved right after resuming from suspend after the problem occurred). ** Attachment added: "dmesg.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1856098/+attachment/5323680/+files/dmesg.log ** Tags added: focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1856098 Title: Laptop suddenly keeps sending random (touchscreen?) input events To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1856098/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
