Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better.
I suspect your failure may have been caused caused by bad ISO download, corrupted install media (ie. bad write to your install media). You filed the bug report against Ubuntu (not ubiquity) so details that would have confirmed my hypothesis aren't available. After downloading your ISO, I encourage you to verify it's flaweless (https://tutorials.ubuntu.com/tutorial/tutorial-how-to-verify-ubuntu#0) and before install, verify the write to media was perfect (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/CDIntegrityCheck) where CD refers to your install media, be it CD, DVD, HDD, SSD, thumb-drive etc). In my experience the second issue (write to install media) is the most troublesome. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1861291 Title: install offers unknowen uer name with green check -- when i try to change it crqashes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1861291/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
