Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: amsn
If you load amsn before Notification Area (2.20.1) loads then you will
not get an icon in the "tray".
If gnome-panel crashes (or is killed etc) and the Notification Area has
to reload while amsn is running, then you will not get an icon for aMSN
in the "tray".
Current solution is to kill or quit amsn and reload the app
