Hi,

I can cause carcost to crash when it has no valid fuel and mileage
data... (I'm also running under Ubuntu 7.10).

I had entered the d=,v= data into the info field, not the wording field,
so it was unused and showed as other expenses in the report. However,
the report was only produced when using the menu item. When using the
toolbar button, the application crashed immediately when the button was
clicked.
