I didn't notice it in previous releases, so this is *probably* worse than in older releases.
I've attached a heaptrack log. It's large, as it's over a long time period, but by the end gnome-software was idling at ~700MB of memory. I didn't notice any large spikes in memory usage, or any particular trigger, though. ** Attachment added: "Heaptrack of the gnome-software --gapplication-service run" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1862087/+attachment/5327134/+files/heaptrack.gnome-software.21877.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1862087 Title: High RSS useage for gnome-software background process To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1862087/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
