Steps to reproduce (kscreen 4:5.18.0-0ubuntu1):
1. Run a Kubuntu Focal LiveCD-ISO in VirtualBox 6.1.2.
2. Try to change the resolution in the display settings from the default
800x600 to anything else.
3. The resolution changes but immediately switches back to the default 800x600.
