You can try the linux-firmware package from upcoming focal:
https://packages.ubuntu.com/focal/linux-firmware

Because of this bug I am currently running 19.10 with latest 5.5 kernel from
mainline ppa:
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/

With 5.5 the number of my problems was significantly reduced and suspend seems
to work, too.
The 5.5 kernel works with VirtualBox 6.1.2 and zfsonlinux 0.8.3

For example, to try out 5.5.4 you may need the following packages:
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.5.4/linux-headers-5.5.4-050504_5.5.4-050504.202002150446_all.deb
