Public bug reported:
Experiencing intermittent system freezes. The screen displays repeated
diagonal pattern. Sometimes I can reboot via REISUB but typically no
mouse or keyboard input is recognised and reset button required to
reboot.
Problem appears to occur with nouveau rendering using graphics NV4C
With a normal boot graphics reported by inxi:
inxi -G

If I boot in recovery mode, the problem does not seem to occur with the
different graphics

Ubuntu 18.04 does not show any additional nvidia drivers via Software &
Updates, Additional Drivers tab.
