It could be a duplicate of Bug #164411 . You can recheck it through starting
winecfg (Applications - Wine - Configure Wine), choosing tab Graphics and
activate "Emulate a virtual desktop" and choosing a resolution which fits to
your monitor (if you have 1280x1024 choose 1024x768 and so on.)
If after this X doesn't logout after game start or something like that it is a
duplicate. But of course every wine app would be started in a window.
