Public bug reported:

'Enter password to unlock your keyring'

I had to install seahorse and enter null password for a temporary fix to
lightdm.conf not being sticky. This worked for a week or so, but today
reverted back to keyring prompt.

This thing has been plaguing several variants of Linux for many years on
and off.
