Here's a suggestion to prevent heat problems : * while on battery : use apm 128 * while on AC and disk temperature <= 58 degrees celcius : use apm 254 * while on AC and disk temperature > 60 degrees celcius : use apm 128 * while disk temperature of 59 and 60 degrees don't change the apm. So apm can be 254 if the temperate was below 58 previously and apm can be 128 if temperature was above 60 degrees previously.
I would appreciate help to improve the ugly unofficial workaround to include something like this to make it less ugly.
