Ubuntu 18.04 should be getting automatic updates already. But that means
bug fixes only, not the latest version. To ensure you have the latest
updates run:

  sudo apt update
  sudo apt full-upgrade

In April, Ubuntu 20.04 will be released with the very latest BlueZ
version. You can try it early here:

  http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/

But regardless, please do not use this old bug. If you experience any
problems at all then please open a new bug by running:

  ubuntu-bug bluez
