The 1MB reference in the document is not for the (U)EFI System Partition (ESP).
The 1MB reference is for special grub2 PC-BIOS / SEABIOS boot, and is unused by grub2 EFI boot. ESP size is large, and that page documents it as 100~250MB, most of the time, it reuses existing one which is preconfigured by OEM/Vendor. If there are no ESP available we do create something (in partman syntax) 538 538 1075, meaning it usually is about 538M but sometimes can be up to 1075. Overall, i think the documentation is correct. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1860359 Title: bug in public documentation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1860359/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
