package virtualbox-dkms 6.0.14-dfsg-1 failed to install/upgrade:
installed virtualbox-dkms package post-installation script subprocess
returned error exit status 10
This was actually the error I got after running $ sudo apt install
--reinstall virtualbox-dkms
It was actually a fresh install of Ubuntu 19.10 with the low latency
kernel later installed via ubuntustudio-installer (because I also do
audio work on the machine).
$ uname -r
5.4.0-8-lowlatency
The actual problem is that Virtual Box fails to run. E.g:
$ VBoxManage --version
WARNING: The character device /dev/vboxdrv does not exist.
Please install the virtualbox-dkms package and the appropriate
headers, most likely linux-headers-lowlatency.
You will not be able to start VMs until this problem is fixed.
