on 18.04 it works fine, for example, gnome-terminal.desktop, it will show the icon with 'Icon=utilities-terminal', when you double click it, it will run gnome-terminal.
Currently we had some .desktop file for OEM, so that user could run it with double click, but on 20.04 .desktop file will be open with gedit, it's not connected with the application. ** Attachment added: "18.04.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1870479/+attachment/5345629/+files/18.04.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1870479 Title: .desktop files were open by gedit To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1870479/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
