Hello, All good. Looks like the installation completed successfully after all. Ubuntu Kylin 20.04 installed a beautiful boot/GRUB2-menu and Kylin starts up and works fine.
The error messages during the finals stages of installation might be related to boot mode in the BIOS (UEFI Boot vs. CMS Boot). I must set "UEFI Boot" during boot from a USB-pen and installation: I must set the Boot Mode in the BIOS to "UEFI Boot". Otherwise USB-pen only shows a black screen. No errors shown. And I must set "CMS Boot" during normal Ubuntu-start after installation. I must set the Boot Mode in the BIOS to "CMS Boot" during normal Ubuntu 20.04 startup. Otherwise a black screen. I have tried 3 flavours of Ubuntu (Kylin 20.04, Ubuntu 20.04, Linux Mint 20.04). So ATM, all is good. My laptop is starting up and all Ubuntus are working ok. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1871098 Title: Kylin 20.04 installation crashed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1871098/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
