Missing dependencies do not give you a faint printout, but rather no printing at all.
Also the error message error: ubuntu-20.04 version is not supported, so all dependencies may not be installed does not really say what is missing or whether something is actually missing. It only tells that HP did not test the software on Ubuntu 20.04. Where did you obtain this error message? What is your printer and how old is it? If it is not too old, you could do driverless printing, not using HPLIP at all. For this connect to the printer preferably by the network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) and when there is no print queue created completely automatically, look in your printer setup tool under the discovered network printers, and select you printer, and of that the "driverless" variant. This typically works for printers which claim that they allow to print from a smartphone. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1871673 Title: error: ubuntu-20.04 version is not supported, so all dependencies may not be installed.
