going back to the previous partition (trying to make it the default again)
I ran the following:

 grub-install /dev/sda
Installing for x86_64-efi platform.
grub-install: warning: disk does not exist, so falling back to partition device
/dev/sda2.
grub-install: warning: disk does not exist, so falling back to partition device
/dev/sda2.
grub-install: warning: disk does not exist, so falling back to partition device
/dev/sda2.

is this related or did I use the incorrect command?
