I'm not sure that it's workload-specific, it could also be an issue with a specific driver or any number of things. RCU is widely used in the kernel, so at this point I'm looking for the proverbial needle in the haystack. I am trying to uncover code paths that you might have been exercising that I was not, as I don't see any issues with the epoll_wait syscall shown in the stack trace.
I'll keep trying to reproduce. If I cannot, once you are ready to try the lowlatency kernel again I can provide a kernel with some RCU debugging options turned on which may help identify the culprit.
