If you have added some keyboard layout(s), so you have two or more
layouts available, I'm pretty sure you can switch between them using the
default shortcut <Super>+<Space> (or by using the input source menu in
the top bar).

In Ubuntu/GNOME it's not. But, as I explained in a previous comment,
there is a way to make <Alt>+<Shift> work.
