Same happens to me plus that I want to install a local(USB) printer but ubuntu only shows network printers which are added automatically and doesn't show usb printers connected locally.. Ubuntu use to be very good before with printing. but it's all messed up since the last 3 upgrades I'm having this same problem wich doesn't seem to be given attention.
I tried all fixes found online and none of them worked for me, enven disabling avahi completely but the USB printers doesn't show up either. this it was said this should be a feature we turn on/off and not a setting that can't be resolved. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1796140 Title: Printers are added automatically, even after they are deleted To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1796140/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
